Basil, with over two decades of experience in venture capital and company building. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Key Capital, Secondary VC, Basil specializes in supporting founders in managing investors and cap tables while providing investors access to mature, high-potential ventures. Previously, he held roles as General Partner at Nclude, Africa's largest fintech-focused VC fund, and Global Ventures, where he invested in early-stage startups across Africa and the Middle East. Basil began his career as a founder member of the Reuters Venture Capital group, later managing emerging markets for Reuters and serving as President of Intellectual Property and Science at Thomson Reuters. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University in Cairo and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
