I am an entrepreneurial synthetic biologist who believes that biology will drive sustainable innovation in the coming decades.
My current mission is focussed on bringing delicious cell based meat products to the market within my role as Chief Innovation Officer at the Paris-based startup GOURMEY.
I was born in the Netherlands, trained as biotechnologist at the TU Delft and Leiden University, and moved to Paris to pursue my Ph.D. in synthetic biology & microbiology at INSERM.
As a board member of Hello Tomorrow I am helping deep tech startups with their journey to bring laboratory inventions to the market.
And through my company Science Matters, I want to support scientists and organisations in communicating research to the public.
