Fred Ellis
Fred Ellis is a Partner at N47, a product-first venture firm investing across applications, infrastructure, and systems. He leads the firm's London office and backs European founders at the earliest stages on a single conviction: truly great products are never finished.
He learned that as a builder before he learned it as an investor. Prior to venture, Fred worked alongside a small team constructing private deal distribution and execution infrastructure for some of the most prominent institutions in world finance.
At N47, Fred serves on the boards of Sona and Encord. He joined N47 from Octopus Ventures, where he invested across Secfix, AgileRL, Legl, and Go Autonomous, and began his career in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics from the University of Oxford.
