Julie Huguet

Director, Mission French Tech

In September 2024, Julie Huguet was appointed Director of Mission French Tech, an administration of the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry, responsible for supporting the growth of the innovative startup ecosystem, in France and internationally.

Julie began her career with a Geneva-based watchmaking company, where she held strategic positions for seven years. In 2016, she founded Coworkees, an intermediation platform between companies and consultants that quickly brought together over 70,000 freelancers and generated several thousand matchmakings. After raising over a million euros, she sold her company to Freelance.com in 2021.

She then joined Freelance.com, where she created the “People and Culture” division to strengthen the commitment and cohesion of the 300 employees, 300,000 freelancers and 1,000 partners around shared values.

In parallel with her entrepreneurial activity, Julie has been actively involved in the French Tech ecosystem, presiding over the Capital French Tech Alpes for over three years, helping to energize and promote the regional technology scene.

Her career path, as well as her commitment to the economic development of her region, led to her being named Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Mérite in June 2023 by Marina Ferrari, then Secretary of State for the Digital Sector.
