Ricardo Mendes is co-founder and CEO of the TEKEVER Group. He underwent graduate, MSc and PhD  studies in Software and Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (in Lisbon, Portugal),  where he specialized in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Information Systems. Mr. Mendes was  a co-founder of TEKEVER in 2001 and led strategy, product and business development as COO until  2018, and as CEO since then.  

Prior to co-founding TEKEVER, and during his undergrad studies, Mr. Mendes worked at SISCOG – one  of the first AI/ML focused global software companies, focusing on transportation optimization, where  he was responsible for designing and implementing advanced machine learning and scheduling  algorithms. From 2001 to 2006, Mr. Mendes taught several courses in the Software and Computer  Engineering Department of the Instituto Superior Técnico, including analysis and design of  information systems, system integration and artificial intelligence.
