Between 14:00 and 18:00 on Oct 1, exhibitors are required to wear high visibility safety vests if they wish to access the exhibition hall.
No exhibits or stand fittings are allowed to be removed or dismantled before 16:30 on October 3.
Electrical circuit services to stands will be cut off 30 minutes after the closure on show days.

Registration
In “MY REGISTRATION” section of the portal, you will be able to find the registration information for the event.
Staff registration - Please complete the staff (excluding your speakers) by Wednesday, September 18, to ensure smooth entrance on the event day. All the speakers will be registered by Sifted.
Guest registration - Your guest passes can be redeemed by founders, operators or senior stakeholders from the ecosystem — and can be secured by using your promo code on the registration form. Guest registration needs to be completed by Wednesday, September 25.

App & lead retrievalThe event app will be launched for sponsors during the week commencing July 29th, allowing you to set up your company profile. You will receive an email to activate your app account.
Attendees will have access to the app from the week commencing August 12th. Once the app is available for everyone, you will be able to connect with the event attendees and register for sessions.
We have created a comprehensive guide to help you navigate all the features of the app. Additionally, there's a video tutorial available that shows you how to edit your company profile and manage lead generation.

Travel to the venueThe nearest tube station: North Greenwich (Jubilee line) which is a 3-5 minute walk away.
Please exit the opposite side to the 02 arena, cross over at the bus terminal and make your way onto Millennium Way. Ordnance Crescent is off Millennium Way and the venue is at the end of the road.

Event rules and regulations
Age restrictions
For safety and legal reasons, under 18s are not permitted entrance at any point including build-up and breakdown. During the show opening hours, you are welcome to bring your child to Sifted Summit. There are baby-changing facilities at the venue.
The abuse of alcohol, drugs and other substances can affect work performance and safety. Any person found to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances, or who are (in the opinion of the organisers and their representatives) constituting danger to themselves or any other person at the venue, will be removed from the venue by security. Where necessary, further action will be taken to remedy the situation. The consumption of alcohol is permitted onsite only during the show's open period, not during the build-up/breakdown.
CateringThere are several catering areas available on the premises. We highly recommend our sponsors take advantage of the catering options available onsite. It is permissible to serve food and beverages at the stands. To choose your catering upgrade, please visit the EXHIBITOR SHOP on the portal. (Items are not available yet, once they become available, we will send out another email to let you know)
InsuranceExhibitor protection scheme - It is a requirement that all exhibitors have at least £2m / €2.5m of public liability insurance. To protect the interests of exhibitors and visitors to our events, Sifted requires proof of this as part of your stand approval process.
Literature distributionPromotional materials can only be distributed at your stand and not in public areas. Please minimise unnecessary printing to support our commitment to sustainability.
Lost property/theftPlease report any lost property or theft immediately to the organiser, or security, who will advise you of the appropriate course of action.
All lost property will be handed into the organiser's office or to security. If any items are left on your stand, please deliver them to the organiser’s office or security. Any lost property will be disposed of if not claimed after one month.
Public address systemThe public address system at the exhibition is for the organiser’s official announcements and emergency messages only. It is NOT available for use by exhibitors or visitors under any circumstances.
Smoking/ e-cigarettes / vapingPlease be aware that smoking, e-cigarettes and vaping are strictly prohibited throughout the entire venue, including the yard and loading bay area. The only designated smoking area is located in the front of the venue.
StorageSifted will not be responsible for any goods left onsite during or after the breakdown period.
You are responsible for arranging the storage of your literature, packing cases, and boxes. Please note there is no in-hall storage available for use. All items must be stored within the confines of your stand. Fire regulations require that any items found outside your stand will be removed, as they will be deemed a fire hazard. If you need to organise storage off-site, please contact the official freight supplier for the hall you are in (please see the exhibitor shop section of the manual).
SignagePlease note that pull-up banners are not allowed at the event to ensure consistency in the look and feel of the event.
Health and safety
General health and safety guidelines
Sifted expects all involved in the build-up, show days and breakdown of the exhibition at all levels, to comply with their legal duties. This includes cooperating with us on health and safety matters and taking care of their own health and safety and that of others, whether from within or from outside the company, who may be affected by their actions.
For safety reasons, everyone is required to wear safety shoes, high visibility safety vest, and when applicable hard hat during the build-up and breakdown of the event. (Between 14:00 - 18:00 on Oct 1, exhibitors are required to wear high visibility safety vests if they wish to access the exhibition hall. Please note that open-toed shoes and heels are not permitted during this period.)
In case of emergency, please contact the nearest security guard and follow the instructions given or contact Sifted staff at the organiser's office.
In case of emergency use the emergency exits to leave the building.

Ensure that supplied work equipment is safe and suitable for the job, is maintained and kept in good order and that employees are properly trained in its use. Do a brief visual check of any equipment you are using before you start and report any concerns immediately

Everyone must consider the safety of themselves and others at all times
A first aider is onsite during the buildup, opening and breakdown. The medical room is located at the backstage of the main stage area. If you need first aid assistance, please contact the organiser or any security staff in the venue.
The nearest accident and emergency hospital is the University Hospital Lewisham, which is approximately 2.5 miles away. The address of the hospital is Lewisham High Street, London, SE13 6LH (Tel 0208333 3000).
In any emergency situation, please contact the organiser/security staff first and we will take action immediately.
FireOn discovering a fire, please report to the event organiser/security staff immediately. It is the duty of the security team/event organiser to sound the nearest fire alarm immediately.
All personnel upon hearing the fire alarm are to use the nearest emergency fire exit and go directly to the nearest muster point as indicated on the fire exit plan. The fire marshals/ security on hearing the alarm should proceed to a pre-determined position to assist staff, guests and visitors to leave the building by the nearest safe route. The disabled lift should not be used due to possible electrical failure. Personnel should not re-enter the building without the all-clear being given by the building security company.
Food safety and hygieneIt is essential that any stand providing food, drink or other refreshments to visitors comply with the Food Safety Act 1990 and Food Hygiene (Amendment) Regulations 1990. Please refer to that Catering – Food & Alcohol section of the e-guide for further information and regulations.
Please note all catering at the stands must be provided by the Moving Venue. We also have numerous food and beverage providers available at the event for you to purchase.
Any alleged, suspected food poisoning resulting from the consumption of any food on the premises must be reported to the organiser.

Gangways and emergency exitsEmergency exits are clearly marked and under no circumstances should any aisles, corridors or emergency exits be obstructed.
Under no circumstances will any part of your stand, building materials, waste, furniture, exhibits or displays be allowed to project beyond the boundary of your stand space to infringe upon these gangways and emergency aisles.
Aisles deemed emergency gangways must be kept clear at all times. Plans indicating the emergency gangways will be available in the onsite organiser's office for your reference.
Work areas should be maintained free from general waste and packaging materials which could cause a hazard.
Doors or windows are not permitted to open outwards onto a gangway.
Incident reportingAll incidents and near misses MUST be reported to the organiser. You can do this at either of the organisers’ offices; If you do see anyone taking unnecessary risks, please report it immediately. Your action could prevent a serious accident.
Under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR), an employer will be required to notify the enforcing authority when there is an accident resulting in death or major injury, or any notifiable dangerous occurrence. False claims to the suitability or safety of the equipment in the UK or to the performance, quality, strength, etc., may be subject to action under the Trade Description Act.
Items of special risksIf you intend to include any items of special risk on your stand for the show they must be included in your Risk Assessment and the organisers MUST be notified.
Items of special risk include but are in no way limited to:

Inflatables including helium and toy balloons

Flags or flagpoles exceeding 4m in height

Performances including dancers, bands, DJs or other musical acts

Laser products

Neon or fluorescent lights

Activities on water or water equipment of any kind – including water features

Motor vehicles in the halls during open period

Audience seating including closely seated audience

The exhibition area is a secured area and only accessible with valid accreditation. Sifted expressly declines responsibility for any loss or damage that may befall the person or property of any exhibitor from any cause whatsoever.
Site inductionAll visitors (contractors and exhibitors) to the event site during the build and breakdown phases must be familiar with the site rules below. An induction is important as all sites are different and have a wide range of hazards which will change as the site develops. The procedures and information detailed on ours are specific to Sifted Summit and include potential hazards and rules to maintain a safe working environment.
Upon arrival at Magazine London all visitors (contractors and exhibitors) will be asked to read and sign the Site Induction Form stating that they agree to the rules and regulations of the site. All visitors will also be inspected to ensure they have arrived prepared and equipped with full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) clothing; including high-vis jackets and suitable footwear (open-toed shoes and heels are not permitted). Once complete they will be issued with a wristband that will allow them access to the Halls.
InsuranceEach exhibitor exhibits at his own risk. Exhibitors must affect their own insurance against all risks.
To protect the interests of exhibitors and visitors to our events, Sifted requires all the exhibitors to purchase a £2 million / €2.5 million public liability insurance and provide proof of this.

Sifted is not responsible for any loss sustained by exhibitors from fire, theft, damage, or any other cause, or for personal injury or loss to or by any person employed by the exhibitor or any third party

Exhibitors shall have no claim whatsoever against Sifted

Sifted will not be liable for any financial loss incurred by the exhibitors resulting from the cancellation or curtailment of the exhibition for any reason whatsoever
As far as reasonably possible, you should avoid the need to undertake manual handling operations which involve a risk of injury and appropriate steps are taken following a risk assessment to reduce any chance of injury to the lowest level reasonably practicable.

Exhibitors operating sound-producing equipment must keep the sound at a reasonable volume, of which a sound level of 60 decibels or more (measured at the corner of the stand) will not be exceeded, in order to avoid disturbing other exhibitors.
Public address systems, laser shows, radio broadcasts, and other devices used solely to attract attention by sound are prohibited. EAGE reserves the right to regulate and/or restrict any sound.
Live music is NOT permitted in the exhibition hall.
Risk assessment
Sifted risk assessment
Sifted has carried out a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks associated with this event, details of which can be obtained from the organiser’s office. General risks associated with any exhibition are as follows:

Excessive working hours
This is an overview and by no means a comprehensive account of the risks involved at the event. It is the absolute duty of all parties to ensure that under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and other legislation, suitable and sufficient risk assessments are conducted on all significant risks.
The management regulations and associated guidance also require that risks should be mitigated with a view to achieving a maximum reduction in the level of risk within the bounds of what is reasonably practicable. In general terms, emphasis should always be placed on eliminating or reducing risk at source. It must be remembered that personal protective equipment is usually a control of last resort.
Exhibitor legal duties and requirements
As an exhibitor, you have a legal duty of care for the safety of anyone who may be affected by your activities. You are ultimately responsible for all aspects of safety on your stand during the build-up, the open period of the show and during the breakdown. Where you contract out the building and finishing of your stand you are still vicariously responsible for the activities of your contractors. You can discharge your duties by ensuring that you do the following:
You MUST carry out a suitable and sufficient risk assessment of all your activities and obtain relevant risk assessments from your contractors with supporting method statements for the building and demounting of your stand. If you have a shell scheme stand you can assume that the shell scheme contractor’s risk assessment has been obtained by the organiser.
You MUST ensure that your staff and contractors working on site are informed of the site rules and health and safety arrangements which are detailed in this manual and you must ensure so far as you reasonably can that they follow them.
You MUST ensure that all your staff on site and contractors are familiar with the venue’s emergency procedures which can be found in this manual.
Appoint a competent person to be responsible for health and safety on your stand. For build and breakdown this can be your contractor however please see below for further requirements relating to the build and breakdown periods.
As your stand package includes a pre-build stand, you can assume that Symbiosis has completed a risk assessment for the build and breakdown of their stand and that this has been obtained by the organiser. However, you should still complete one for the open period.
You are required to indicate that a Risk Assessment has been undertaken via the health and safety declaration form.
Work equipment and toolsExhibitors and contractors have duties under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations to ensure that all tools are fit for purpose and safe to use.
Welfare and clothing-
Suitable footwear must be worn at all times

High vis must be worn at all times during event buildup and breakdown

Protective hard hats must be worn where necessary during buildup and breakdown

Late working will require additional crews who are appropriately rested and alert
-
Toilets and hand-wash facilities are available throughout the venue
Immediately report any suspect packages to the event organiser. Do not touch or move any suspicious item.

Travel green - reduce your carbon footprint by making use of public transport to and from the event

Support local - Help to reduce your carbon footprint by using local suppliers and considering their sustainability credentials

Purchase with caution - When purchasing promotional items, consider the amount you order, the environmental credentials of the materials they are made from, as well as whether they are useful giveaways that will be used long after the event is over

Reduce your waste - Bring only what is needed for the event, and take away/recycle what isn’t distributed at the event; bring reusable cups/water bottles for the two days

Go plastic free - Consider using recyclable or alternative eco-friendly material for your merchandise, single-use plastic products are prohibited at the event

Be digitally present - Avoid printing, and make the most use of our event app to plan your days

BadgesSponsors can register their staff via the links provided in “MY REGISTRATION” section.
Your badge must be worn at all times and grants you access to the show.
Couriers and direct deliveries to venueNeither the organiser nor Magazine London can sign for deliveries of any kind, this includes on your behalf. All deliveries must be received by a member of your team. We strongly recommend that you use our official freight forwarder to accept your deliveries.
Exhibitor and contractor access during build-up and breakdownThe exhibition halls are classed as a building site for the buildup and breakdown and therefore exhibitors must complete and sign a site induction form before being allowed to enter the halls. The site induction form details our rules and regulations and gives advice for your own safety. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including; appropriate safety footwear, high-vis vest and hardhats in hardhat areas, are also mandatory for site access during the build-up and breakdown.
You will be given the site induction form to be signed at the entrance of the venue by the security staff. Once enter the venue please be vigilant inside the halls as hazards are commonplace. If arriving by goods vehicle; Site Induction Forms and wristbands are also available from the Security team located at the loading bay area.
On the build day, exhibitors and sub contractors are allowed to access the exhibition hall from 14:00 to 18:00 on October 1.
EntrancesDuring buildup and breakdown, the main access to the halls for contractors will be through the door by the loading bay.
Between 14:00 and 18:00 on Oct 1, sponsors may use the main entrance on Ordnance Crescent to enter the venue.
During the event opening hours, the main entrance on Ordnance Crescent will be the only entrance.
Goods liftThere are no goods lifts in the venue. Please make a plan for this when loading production up to Mezzanine 1 & 2
Traffic marshalingIMPORTANT NOTICE - ALL VEHICLES TRAVELING TO MAGAZINE LONDON FOR THE PURPOSE OF BUILDUP, BREAKDOWN OR DELIVERIES SHOULD KINDLY NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

The venue is only accessible between 0800 and 2000 each day

There is a holding area in front of the traffic administration office, please follow the Marshal’s directions to park

Drivers must adhere to the specified time limit given by the marshal. Those exceeding the time limit will be clamped or removed. If extra time is needed, please see a traffic marshal

On completion of unloading/loading, vehicles must be removed from the relevant parking area or leave the site immediately

In the event of a vehicle breakdown or accident, please contact a traffic marshal immediately

Terms and conditions of use

There is no onsite guest parking available at the venue.

Drivers are required to remove vehicles prior to the open days (unless a separate agreement with the organiser).

Any vehicles failing to show a valid parking permit or displaying an out-of-date parking permit, shall be penalty ticketed and a fee of £80 will be levied.

No overnight sleeping in vehicles is permitted. Drivers must follow the instructions issued to them by traffic marshals at all times.

Magazine London and its partners accept no responsibility for loss, damage or theft to vehicles or their contents.

Load in / out accessLoading must take place in the loading bay at the rear of the venue.

The loading bay shutter opening is 2.97m width x 3.1m height

The double door through to Space 2 from the loading bay is approx. 2.29m clear width and 3m clear height

The double doors through to Space 1 beneath Mezzanine 2 are 2.95m clear height
All crew, suppliers and staff must sign in and receive a venue and H&S site induction prior to working onsite to understand the rules and evacuation procedures. For site security and safety, all contractors will be required to wear wristbands onsite.
